ACNE by bex

Acne
The staff here are really welcoming and friendly, as soon as I walked through the door I was instantly greeted by a smiling face which is a fresh change from the usual snotty glances you get from the typical high-end store.
The interior is very spacious and white with a wooden floor. A table at the entrance showcases a variety of books for you to look through. Menswear is on the ground floor. Up the narrow staircase and past the changing rooms takes you to the women's wear which is strangely on rails along the walls of the room, only one size of every item is displayed therefore you have to ask the staff for the size you wish to try on or purchase. In-between 2 of the rails there is a mirror surrounding a pair of shoes to your right and at the end of the room near the windows stands huge art pieces, the style of which I wouldn't have expected in this store. As you browse the beautiful clothes another one of the friendly staff asks if he can assist you in any way and will be available to help with whatever you need. Which was really nice and not pushy in any way.

Upstairs again led to the denim, which is what Acne is well known for, I wasn't as impressed with the layout of this floor. It seemed half hearted and not much effort put into it, with the black shelving and tables with jeans laid onto them. Although the mannequins are cool and the art features at the end near the window are interesting.

Up again is the jewellery and the shoes. There wasn't much content to this room but the way it is laid out fits the space really well, tucked away in the corner were these amazing mirrored 'stones' which looked like they once displayed shoes but were no longer in use. Over at the opposite end, some jewellery is displayed in a glass cabinet which was meant to look smashed but you could clearly tell that it was a crap sticker! But the pieces inside are incredible.

My overall opinion of this store is that it is not what I expected it to be from the outside, but surpassed my expectations and it will be a shop I will visit often in the future.
