- Anthony said in our meeting that the sentence doesn't have to be typical and the photos can be photoshopped. WE NEED TO BE CREATIVE WITH THE SENTENCES!
- For the sentence maybe pick out keys things about the shops for example, where it is? what it looks like? whats the customer? etc.
- When we met as a group we discussed the images and the sentence and our individual ideas.
- For the sentence:
- different languages - where does the shop originate? (flags)
- the name of the online magazine blöe - what text and colour?
- Quotes from customers, staff or critics?
- the sentence structure - this ones hard to explain but the people who were there understand and can explain.
- BUZZWORDS - separate to the image or incorporated
- For the images:
- somehow we got onto the idea of crosswords - incorporating the text with the image instead of it being separate.
- collage of all the things related to the store
- From the idea of the crossword came the idea to do the whole magazine similar to puzzles; match the name of the store to the image sort of thing.
- For next week
- Mock ups of our ideas, for example the crossword tried out and the collage (if you don't have photoshop then try this by hand)
- think about an upcoming style/icon/sub culture. things are forever changing and theres a change about to happen - ooooo spooky! can we discover it before it happens?
the puzzle idea - crosswords, scramble (with the image), match up, dot to dot, wordsearch, spot the difference, jokes, bingo. etc
- Other things we got onto to talking about was a potential photoshoot when we decided what sub culture we are doing - of us all dressed up as this sub culture
- SUB CULTURE
- whilst we were talking, we got onto the topic of the here and now and how not everyone fits into one sub-culture, most people in the present put themselves into many sub cultures for example just because someone dressed like a rocker doesn't necessarily mean they listen to rock music. they may love popular music - you never know with people these days.
- From this we discussed being eclectic (see definition and synonyms at the bottom). this generally means a mixture of everything and we could use this as our sub culture that way we won't get stuck for designers or icons. we have a wide variety of choice. before we go ahead with this though we'll talk to anthony about it. see what his feelings are.
